Which service fits your land?

Most properties are a mix, and most jobs end up being two services at once. A steep West Asheville backyard is usually a slope job and a poison ivy job. A Weaverville fence row is often kudzu, multiflora rose and blackberry all tangled together. The goats don’t care what we call it. The name just helps you find the right page.

What every job includes

• A free walk-through. A shepherd walks the property with you, identifies what’s growing and flags anything the goats should skip.
• A flat per-acre quote in writing. The number doesn’t change once the gate opens. See how our quotes work.
• A solar electric fence around the work area, and fence-outs for gardens and trees you want kept.
• A shepherd on site every day the herd is on your property: water, headcounts, fence checks.
• Daily goat-cam photos by text, so you can watch the brush disappear from work.

What goats don’t do

Goats are brush specialists, not tree surgeons. They don’t cut down trees, grind stumps, haul debris or grade land, and they won’t eradicate a deep-rooted invasive in a single visit. Most stubborn plants need a follow-up graze or two. If a job needs a chainsaw or an excavator, we’ll say so at the walk-through and you won’t pay us to find out.

Where we work

The herd travels around Asheville and Buncombe County, including West Asheville, Weaverville, Black Mountain, Fairview, Arden, Candler and Leicester. If you’re a little outside that list, ask. The goats enjoy a road trip more than you’d expect.
